A Disney vacation is a ton of fun for families! There's plenty to do and you'll never get bored. If this is your first time visiting the park, you may not know where to go first or what to see. There are so many attractions on the Disney property, but you'll want to make sure you take it all in. Here's a simple list of things you'll definitely want to do at Disney.
1. Kilimanjaro Safari
This safari will make you feel like you’re exploring in Africa! The safari vehicle will take you into the Savannah to view the wild animals. It’s best if you go in the morning when the animals are more active.
2. Toy Story Midway Mania
This cool interactive attraction has tons of arcade games for the whole family to enjoy. You can shoot 3D projections with toy cannons and become a toy yourself! This ride will leave you wanting more as it is completely addicting and appeals to everyone.
3. Mickey’s PhilharMagic
This awesome 12-minute long 3D fantasy adventure stars Donald Duck taking you to a dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences. You’ll enjoy sitting in the huge concert hall and getting a pair of “opera glasses” to view the show.
4. Fireworks Display
You can’t end your night at Disney World without viewing the spectacular fireworks display! This dazzling display happens every night over Cinderella Castle synchronized to a medley of famous Disney songs and character voices. You can even catch a glimpse of Tinker Bell taking flight over the park.
5. Pirates of the Caribbean
This is the classic ride that inspired the hit movie and was Walt Disney’s last creation at the park. It will take you on a swashbuckling voyage where you get to sing with pirates and try to spy Captain Jack Sparrow.
6. The Haunted Mansion
This classic ride is a hit with park goers that’s loud and scary – but not too scary! The ride takes you on a tour through a creepy, haunted mansion where you’ll find ghosts and other supernatural surprises.
7. Festival of Fantasy Parade
The Festival of Fantasy Parade is a daily parade in the Magic Kingdom that features floats, costumes, and popular Disney songs. You’ll see all of your favorite characters come to life in floats inspired by their films. Stay until the very end for lots of bubbles and circus costumes!
8. Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain is a fun, water flume ride in Magic Kingdom that features thrilling, big drops and of course, lots of splashing. The ride also features characters and songs from the Disney film, Song of the South. Watch out for the massive 5-story waterfall!
9. Track down characters
Go on a scavenger hunt through the park trying to hunt down your favorite Disney characters. Make sure to bring a notebook with you so you can collect their autographs!
10. It’s a Small World
This musical boat ride is wonderful for children and adults of all ages as you get to sing along with the classic anthem and view all the children of the world. You’ll set sail along the Seven Seaways Waterway for a 10-minute long journey taking you to all 7 continents.
