Despite the fact that your children will likely buy you some cute gifts and take you out to dinner, it’s OK if you want to get a little something extra out of Mother’s Day. After all, being a mom is one of the toughest full-time jobs in the world! Here are some of our favorite ideas to treat yourself for Mother’s Day:
1. Spa Retreat
You can either go alone or grab some of your best friends, and head down to your local spa for a couple relaxing hours alone. Whether you’re only looking for a single service, or you’re going for the full package, this is a great addition to Mother’s Day. Enjoy a massage, the sauna, mineral bath, or a facial!
2. Shopping Trip
There’s nothing moms love more than going on a childfree shopping spree! Check out all of your favorite stores, try on as many clothes as you want, and enjoy the retail therapy on this special day. Plus, many stores will likely have Mother’s Day sales just for you!
3. Girls’ Night Out
Plan a complete girls’ night out with some of your best mom friends to cap off a great Mother’s Day! You can start your night with dinner and drinks, and then choose your favorite movie, club, or live music for afterwards. The night doesn’t need to end here however. Plan to sleep over at one of your houses where there’s no children to worry about.
4. Hair Appointment
Most moms are too busy with the daily tasks of taking care of the kids and their own jobs to make time for a hairstyling. Make that appointment that you’ve been putting off and treat yourself to a new cut and color for spring.
5. Long Bath/Shower
Wouldn’t it be great if we could end every day with a long relaxing bubble bath or shower? For Mother’s Day, make sure your significant other is keeping the kids busy so you can have at least an hour to yourself to soak in the bubbles. Light some candles and grab your favorite book to make your bath even better!
6. Luxury Item
How many times have you seen a beautiful purse or piece of jewelry and passed on it because you thought it’s a frivolous purchase? For Mother’s Day, allow yourself to splurge and buy something that you deserve. Even if it’s not expensive, as long as it’ll make you happy on this special day.

As a mother, Jennifer understands the importance of offering nothing by the best for baby. Motivated by teeth marks on her children’s cribs, she decided to design a teething rail cover after trying products that didn’t measure up when it came to quality or style. What she found out made her even more concerned about children’s safety and health: The toxic chemicals used in the production of synthetic materials have been linked to birth defects, reproductive disorders, and weakened immune systems.
She asked herself, “What if I could revolutionize the way parents decorated their crib with a safe and stylish teething rail cover that could be placed on the crib from day one?” Babee Talk® launched in 2014 with organic bedding and accessories. Chew-friendly, drool-friendly, and organic inside and out, her products ensure a healthy start in life for babies.
She only offers products that she would provide for her own children. She hopes moms and dads will start to talk about the importance of choosing safe, healthy, eco-friendly products, especially for babies.
