Every single day, it seems as if a new technological invention comes out that helps people save time, improve efficiency, or simply help in a specific way. This is also true of smartphone applications. Now, there are even tons of apps that are specially created for parents to help them do their job – be a good parent! The following are some of the best new parenting apps for mom and dad:
Find My Kids
Ever wish you could know where your child is, all the time? Using GPS in real time, this app helps you keep track of and automatically locate where your child goes with his phone. If he's traveling alone, you can confirm that he arrived at a specific destination, or if he's meeting up with friends, they can confirm each other's locations.
Baby Monitor HD
Touted as the "next generation baby monitor" from Engadget, this camera/video app allows you to keep tabs on your baby's crib. Other features include password-protected audio and video, audio alerts, and infrared night mode, but only specific cameras (mostly Y-Cam and WiFi Baby) are compatible with this app.
MamaBear calls itself the “all-in-one worry-free parenting app.” This helpful app not only tracks your kids’ whereabouts, but alerts you when they’re tagged in a photo, use bad language, or are being bullied online. Other features exist as well to make this a true all-in-one app.
There are apps that locate your children, but how about one that tells you how fast they're driving? This app can do so by using the smartphone's built-in GPS. Plus, the SecuraFences feature sends notifications if your child goes beyond a designated geographic area.
While we hope you never need to use this app, the goal of Lassy Project is to minimize the amount of time it takes to set out an alert that your child has gone missing. Unlike an Amber Alert, Lassy Project provides an image of the missing child and a real time map showing the coordinates of his last known location. It works in seconds, not hours, and only alerts relevant people in the immediate area.
Good Food Near You
This app is perfect for finding healthy food while on the road. When you don’t want to feed your kids another meal of fast food, this free app finds you healthy restaurants nearby. If fast food is your only option, you can also use it to find the healthiest items on the menu.

As a mother, Jennifer understands the importance of offering nothing by the best for baby. Motivated by teeth marks on her children’s cribs, she decided to design a teething rail cover after trying products that didn’t measure up when it came to quality or style. What she found out made her even more concerned about children’s safety and health: The toxic chemicals used in the production of synthetic materials have been linked to birth defects, reproductive disorders, and weakened immune systems.
She asked herself, “What if I could revolutionize the way parents decorated their crib with a safe and stylish teething rail cover that could be placed on the crib from day one?” Babee Talk® launched in 2014 with organic bedding and accessories. Chew-friendly, drool-friendly, and organic inside and out, her products ensure a healthy start in life for babies.
She only offers products that she would provide for her own children. She hopes moms and dads will start to talk about the importance of choosing safe, healthy, eco-friendly products, especially for babies.
